Yaseen Abdel-Ghaffar
Yaseen Abdel-Ghaffar has a BSc in Chemistry from the American University in Cairo. Yaseen then went on to work as a Management Graduate at Edita Food Industries, and later at ExxonMobil Egypt, where he held the position of Quality Assurance Chemical Engineer. Within the scope of this role, Yaseen performed required tests on finished products and raw materials, additionally providing technical support to the Sales & Marketing department by carrying out the necessary tests to resolve customer complaints.
In 2013, Yaseen founded SolarizEgypt, where he is currently Managing Director. He oversees and supervises company activities, develops and reviews the company’s business strategy, and measures the extent of financial performance, quality and customer satisfaction. He also handles strategic business alliances with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Institution
SolarizEgypt designs, installs and commissions grid-connected PV solar power plants to supplement power supply to residential and mid-sized commercial entities in Egypt. SolarizEgypt also offers financing solutions (working with Barclays and a local PE firm) to help clients cover up-front costs, and over time offers significant savings to clients when compared to the cost of electricity from the national grid.
